Science on Stage 2006

This is the sixth annual presentation of script-in-hand performances of new plays about science and technology. Featured playwrights include Lauren Gunderson, Karla Jennings and commissioned young playwrights of UC Santa Barbara led by their faculty-playwright advisor Naomi Iizuka. Explore topics ranging from the subatomic world to stem cells to bio weapons and catch a glimpse of plays in the making. A discussion with the playwright, artistic staff, and a scientific expert follows. Tickets may be reserved until 1pm the day of performance at the Magic Theatre box office. Call (415) 441-8822. Admission to the plays is free with a Magic Theatre subscription, an Exploratorium membership, or a same-day Exploratorium entrance ticket ($13 at the door).
